AMY MARTIN LANDCAPE DESIGN

“For as long as she can remember, Amy Martin has been concerned about protecting and
preserving the earth. She's parlayed this proclivity into her job as a landscape designer,
helping clients create beautiful, fundtional, and environmentally healthy outdoor spaces.
Martin recently brought her planet-friendly and artistic sensibilities full circle in the "greening"
and subsequent colorful decorating of her own home, in Scituate.

“Amy is a great human being and an 'artist' when it comes to landscaping.”

We had a wonderful experience working with Amy. She really worked with us to define our goals
and priorities and whatwe were trying to achieve with the yard. We were so pleased with the way in which
Amy provided guidance without imposing her ownchoices. We feel that the yard truly reflects our individual
tastes and design. Amy was incredibly enthusiastic and patient through thedesign process and an integral
part of the installation. She made the whole process truly enjoyable! — Lisa, Cohasset, MA

When a design professional hires another design professional, the scrutiny is necessarily
intense. Yourportfolio was impressive, of course, but there was stil the nagging question of how you
would design MY job.I shouldn’t have worried. You are a spectacular, intuitive, and nuanced artist! when
I spend time in my garden, I am in a constant state of rediscovering therhythms and hidden structures you
have embedded there. It is so you,but even more it is me. It is like wearing a custom suit, onethat smoothly
dances with the seasons, and reminds me that there is no price that can be placed on inner harmony.
Thank you, Amy!— Steven Taft, Professor, Ringling School of Art & Design

It’s rare to have something made especially for you, based on your own personal style and
preferences, butour garden is truly a custom creation. Amy knows how to ask the right questions to uncover
a style we didn’t know we had! She hascreated a garden that has created a garden that has meaning for us
because it reflects our spirit. Our “Secret Garden” is a memorialgarden in honor of my father where I can sit
and reflect on good memories, and the children’s play area is a safe, stimulating place forthe kids to climb on
rocks and interact with nature. I never imagined our yard could become such a soul-feeding place, but Amy
reallysaw who we were and created a garden to nuture us. — Suzy, Wellesley, MA

Our garden has reconnected me with nature, giving me a private oasis from the demands of everday
life. WhenI get home from work, I stroll through the garden with a glass of wine to unwind and see what is
blooming. We get many more birdsand butterflies now and watching them is such a relaxing part of my day.
I never knew this could add so much to the quality of my life.Amy made the whole process so easy!

My perennial garden was revamped this Spring. I really knew it was all right when a good friend,
looked at mygarden and said, “Your designer really captured you for this garden – it’s you!”. The garden went
from chaos to tranquility. And itwasn’t just a re-arrangement of what I had in place. Amy took the time to
interview me on what I wanted to accomplish, heard what I was expressing and made suggestions for changes
and plantings. She saw some statues/structures I had collected along the way, and used them as lovely
eye-catching elements in the new garden. I am also impressed at how Amy “thinks locally” using native plants
as smuch as possible. And her team is smart, easy, and informative. This is my second garden design with
Amy Martin and Ihighly recommend her to help you see the potential of your new or refreshed garden.
